Released in 1995 it’s hard to believe producers expected this album to sell less than 250,000 copies. To date it has sold more than 33 million copies worldwide.
It had six hits - You Oughta Know, You Learn, Hand in My Pocket, All I Really Want, Ironic and my favorite Head Over Feet.
When it comes to music I always fall for lyrics before melody. I think that is why this is one of my top 50 albums. Morissette’s lyrics are classic. I also love the acoustic version of this album that was released on the 10 year anniversary, in fact I probably prefer it.
